Referral Program Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: September 10, 2020

The Kopa Referral Program (“The Program“) allows registered Kopa users (a “Kopa User”) to earn Amazon* gift cards (“Rewards“) by referring renters or hosts to Kopa.

To participate, Kopa Users must agree to these terms, which become part of the Kopa Terms of Service. Capitalized terms that are not defined here will have the same meaning given to them in the Kopa Terms of Service.

How to Earn Referral Rewards

Kopa Users can earn Rewards if: (i) a referred user clicks on their referral link to create a valid Kopa account that complies with our Terms of Service; and (ii) the referred user completes a Qualifying Booking as a renter or as a host. Neither the Kopa User may be the host nor the renter on the Qualifying Reservation booked by the referred user. Only one Reward is earned per user referred, regardless of the number of tenants in a booking.

The referring Kopa User will be credited with Rewards as described in the referral invitation or accompanying promotional materials. The maximum Rewards per Qualifying Booking will be $1,000 USD* (or its local equivalent*** if we support it), unless indicated otherwise in the referral invitation or accompanying promotional materials.

Qualifying Bookings

A Qualifying Booking must have a total rental deposit (excluding Kopa Fees) greater than $500. The stay must be booked and paid for via the Kopa platform, and the referred user must move into the property before the Kopa User can receive the Reward.

The listing of the Qualifying Booking must be in the United States.

Redeeming Kopa Rewards

Rewards may not be earned by creating multiple Kopa Accounts. Rewards accrued in separate Kopa accounts may not be combined into one Kopa account.

If for any reason you believe that there is a discrepancy regarding your Rewards, please contact us. Kopa may require you to submit additional information in order to determine Rewards payout. All decisions regarding Rewards will be final and at Kopa’s sole discretion.

The referring Kopa User is responsible for any Tax consequences, if any, that may result from acquiring or use of Rewards.

Multiple Referrals

A referred user may only use one referral link. If a referred user receives referral links from multiple Kopa Users, only the corresponding Kopa User of the referral link used by the referred user will receive Rewards.

Severability

If any provision in these terms are held to be invalid, void, or unenforceable, such provision (or the part of it that is making it invalid, void or unenforceable) will be struck and not affect the validity of and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

Termination and Changes

Kopa may suspend or terminate the Referral Program or a user’s ability to participate in the Referral Program at any time for any reason.

We reserve the right to suspend accounts or withhold Rewards if we notice any activity that we believe is abusive, fraudulent, or in violation of the Kopa Terms of Service. We reserve the right to review and investigate all referral activities and to suspend accounts or modify referrals in our sole discretion as deemed fair and appropriate.

Updates to the Terms

We can update these terms at any time without prior notice. If we modify these terms, we will post the modification on the Kopa website, applications, or services, which are effective upon posting. Continued participation in the Referral Program after any modification shall constitute consent to such modification.
